Read the story first in Mandarin, then read it again in English to strengthen comprehension. The English reprise may be cut up into match cards as a literacy exercise of sequencing and retelling a story in either language. I have included a coloring page that is just for fun. There is a glossary of idioms, sentence starters, and key vocabulary. Improve word recognition by covering the Pinyin with a pencil or pen.
